Ayrshire Music Festival 2012
The Ayrshire Music Festival celebrates its Centenary in 2012.
The Syllabus for 2012 is now available and contains many classes which may be of interest to local churches - Choirs, Church Choirs, Youth Choirs, Organ Solos, Vocal Solos, Scottish Country Dancing, and "Anything Goes".
However the one which I would like to bring to your attention is a new class for CHURCH PRAISE BANDS. This reflects the shift in emphasis and style in today's Church Music. It will be a non-competitive class and an opportunity for Church musicians to meet and make music. It will take place in an evening session of the Festival, which takes place in mid-March.
The syllabus is available online at ayrshiremusicfestival.org.uk, but if anyone would like a hard copy please contact Marjorie Mackay, 14 Holmston Drive, AYR, KA7 3JP. Tel 01292 266435 or email marjoriemackay@googlemail.com
